Edmonton International Sevens, after careful consideration and discussions with the relevant Government Departments, has decided to postpone this year's event.
The event was due to take place May 15th to 17th, but given the current concerns surrounding the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) and our commitment to the safety of our participants and guests, we have taken the stance that postponing the event is in the best interest of all parties.
The new proposed date for the event is July 31st to August 2nd. This date will be reviewed in the coming weeks as the WHO and local health authorities release further information.
All participants and guests that have purchased team entries will have their entries rolled over to the new dates.
For guests that have booked hotels or were intending to, our hotel partners will honor your booking over the new dates and will be making rooms available for any that wish to travel over that weekend.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but believe this is the responsible thing to do.
Lastly, EIS would like to wish you all the best health in the weeks to come.
